The Center for Diagnostics and Therapeutics is working to make major discoveries and advances toward new approaches to disease diagnosis and treatment. Participants in the Center include faculty members from core academic units such as Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and the Neuroscience Institute as well as supporting units and programs such as Computer Sciences, Psychology, Mathematics and Statistics, and Molecular Basis of Disease.

Biomedical research requires interdisciplinary, collaborative teams that can collectively address complex problems and translate discoveries into products that benefit patients. The Center for Diagnostics and Therapeutics aims to develop highly sought and clinically useful diagnostic and therapeutic tools and agents.

Center for Diagnostic and Therapeutic is seeking (1) a dedicated and experienced Administrative Specialist.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Administrative Specialist will be supporting the Center and will be pivotal in supporting the administrative team, and in assisting with the center's procedures and policies. The person will be required to perform various administrative support duties, which require a range of skills and knowledge of Center and University policies and procedures. They will be responsible for managing the communications, events, and guest relations for the Center. The Administrative Specialist must organize and prepare various administrative documents and perform as a multifunctional team member of the Center.

The essential duties and responsibilities of the Administrative Specialist include the following but are not limited to:

  • Assists the Director or Faculty with special projects.
  • Coordinates personnel functions such as hiring and travel.
  • Coordinates reports and grant applications and processes various forms.
  • Develop and recommend policies and procedures relating to the functional area.
  • Operates day-to-day functions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and two years administrative experience; or high school diploma or GED and six years administrative experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
