Thanks for your interest in Oklo! We are searching for an experienced Director of Community and Government Relations to join our team.
Position Description:
The Director of Community and Government Relations will report to the COO and/or the Head of External Relations and play a key role in Oklo's strategy and successful engagement with certain key communities nationwide. The successful candidate will be motivated, experienced, and excited to develop strategy related to communities and local/state or regional governments and engage key stakeholders as well as oversee on-the-ground relationship building. The role is expected to recruit and oversee certain key contractors in various local/state areas of interest to Oklo (e.g., in the areas of potential plant or facility deployments). The willingness to travel frequently (e.g. 2x a month or more) will likely be essential. The ability to stay organized, manage deadlines and work across departments will be key success factors. This will be a highly visible position that interacts regularly with executive management and leaders across departments. It is expected that this role would interact often with the Communications department, the Business Development department, the Federal Affairs department, and with other strategic areas within Oklo such as strategy and finance.

About Oklo compensation:
Salary: $150,000-$250,000
Salary may fall outside of the range provided and will be dependent on applicant experience.

Specific responsibilities may include:
- Interfacing between team members in business development and in communications related to any customer developments and potential announcements
- Developing strategy related to any key communities relevant for future Oklo powerhouse or facility deployments, integrating key cultural and political factors and staying engaged and constantly up to date on those key factors
- Implementing strategy and executing on impactful community relationship building through event coordination and other creative means of interaction
- Being the eyes, ears and voice of Oklo "on the ground" with key communities
- Interfacing with key state and local government and regulatory entities in key communities
- Work with the Visualization and Prototyping team to help communicate important concepts with key community members and leaders
- Support facility siting processes and interactions with local and state chambers of commerce, governors' offices, and other
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions
- Conform with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business
- Two to five years of relevant experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
