About Us:

UnitX builds the world's leading robotics systems to automate repetitive visual tasks in factories. UnitX is an exciting, innovative, and fast-moving Series B startup with a team from Stanford, MIT, and Google. Our team is highly collaborative and we are looking forward to complementing our existing skillsets with our first Finance hire.

We are looking for a motivated and capable teammate to help scale our business and build our G&A functions. You will report directly to the CEO with responsibilities ranging from daily operations to long-range planning. This is an excellent opportunity to take on key responsibilities within a rapidly growing organization.

What You'll Do:
  • Build and lead the Finance and Accounting organizations
  • Construct financial models to support strategic decision-making, including forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning
  • Define KPIs - including unit economics frameworks - across departments, geographies, and products
  • Develop dashboards and reporting packages to track KPIs, leveraging this visibility to drive performance
  • Upgrade accounting processes to match the needs of a global organization
  • Manage cost of goods sold with supply chain team and develop understanding of margin drivers
  • Optimize banking and compliance to enable flow of material and funds across geographies
  • Ensure accurate expense categorization and analysis to maintain awareness of spend and cash flow
  • Work with sales leaders to develop go-to-market plans and compensation structures
  • Build and streamline various business processes to enable growth (e.g., sales commission tracking, procurement / reimbursement, quote / invoice, systems setup, contracting procedures, etc.)
  • Assist CEO with Board decks, meeting materials, and other high-leverage tasks
  • Assist with ad hoc operational priorities such as legal contract review, insurance, and HR tasks
  • Represent UnitX to external investors, vendors, and candidates


Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in quantitative field) with 6+ years of work experience
  • Held positions in startups, corporate finance, FP&A, or other relevant operating context
  • Desire to step into a leadership role at a startup, with a strong sense of ownership for company-level outcomes (prior management experience strongly preferred)
  • Experience assembling a financial operating model and building buy-in across functions
  • Capable of defining complex project plans and managing stakeholders to completion
  • Sense of urgency while maintaining a high bar for quality and accuracy
  • Passion for building strong organizations with intelligent operations
  • Excited by the robotics, autonomous, and deep learning startup space
