Manager, Comp & Benefits

Reporting to the SVP, Human Resources, the Manager Compensation and Benefits is responsible for ensuring market competitive, fair and accurate total compensation. To be successful in this role, you should be able to develop and administer competitive and cost-efficient programs that will assist with employee retention and attract top talent.

- Define a fair, equitable and competitive total compensation and benefits package that fits and is aligned with our company's strategy, business goals and talent needs
- Participate in salary surveys and analyze results in order to ensure WellStreet is market competitive
- Conduct job analysis which includes creating or revising job descriptions and assessing the job's market value, in partnership with HRBPs
- Communicate with third-party services to negotiate benefit plans and resolve benefit-related issues
- Support the Finance team with budgets and financial analysis of all compensation, equity and benefits plans
- Complete records, reporting and other documentation required by federal, state and local regulations and ensure timely filing
- Maintain employee benefits records, maintain group benefits database and update employee HR records
- Ensure compliance with COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA and other laws and regulations
- Conduct ongoing research and report on emerging trends, issues and best practices
- Assist employees and support the administration, education, and communication of all total rewards policies including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, retirement, prescription drug plans, short-term and long-term disability leaves, workers compensation leaves, family and medical leaves under FMLA, and wellness programs
- Work with auditors on plan audits and review corrective actions as required
- Manage the administration of the company's 401k plan, including processing hardship withdrawals, reviewing match details and perform annual plan testing and audits
- Manage all leave programs
- Handle enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, and compliance testing
- Identity, develop and manage a robust Benefit Wellness Program to support employee engagement, as well as supporting effective benefit utilization of the company's respective medical plans
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- 8+ years of experience in Compensation and Benefits
- Relevant certifications, such as Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), or SHRM certification preferred
- Extensive knowledge of benefits and compensation programs, policies, procedures, and applicable legislation
- Experience with benefit plan design, including 401K, healthcare, dental, vision, life insurance, STD, LTD
- Experience with HRIS and benefits databases
- Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, Medicare, COBRA, and Social Security and DOL requirements
