General Summary
Assist in the review and formulation of financial and business operational policies, and also in the administration of the business affairs of the University. Primary areas of functional responsibility include treasury and investment management, financial analysis. strategic business relationships, University and state regulatory compliance, capital financing, bond issuances, and ad hoc special project work.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Knowledge of accounting and financial management principals and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in finance or related field is required.
Competencies in accounting investments, treasury, business management and general project management typically acquired through at least six years of progressively more responsible and related professional experience in an accounting/financial environment are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree is preferred.
Strong written and interpersonal communication skills are required. Previous experience in higher education is preferred.
Previous experience leading project management or cross-functional teams is preferred.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the University's treasury functions, including development of short term and long term cash and investments forecast, oversight of daily cashflow activities, and managing cash balances to meet expenditures.
- Research, measure and execute investment decisions and participate as a member of the University's Investment Committee.
- Complete financial analysis on key initiatives, including writing business plans, and developing financial models/forecasts.
- Develop financial planning & analysis (FP&A) type reporting for University's financial performance for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate University compliance efforts with Federal and State laws and regulations and with University Policy.
- Manage the completion of the University's annual Capital Outlay Plan in accordance with State guidelines.
- Prepare materials/analysis for Board of Regents and Executive Management meetings.
- Serve as liaison to strategic business partners (i.e., P3).
- Manage parking related activities/initiatives and participate as lead member of the Joint Parking Action Committee (JPAC) on behalf of the University.
- Assist in the development of University policies and new programs, and in the administration of the business affairs of the University.
- Direct and coordinate daily divisional activities with other University offices.
- Develop and coordinate the divisional strategic planning initiatives.
- Facilitate capital financing initiatives including preparation of materials for bond issues.
- Assist in preparation of special reports and on special projects.
