Responsibilities and Expectations:
The Area Sales Manager will lead and manage a regional team of IPS sales representatives, ensuring all sales representatives achieve their sales objectives within their assigned territories. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to develop and execute sales strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. The Area Sales Manager will oversee teams based in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, and Wisconsin . They will be responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships while promoting the company's products and services to meet or exceed revenue and unit growth objectives.

Leadership and Team Management:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Sales team, setting clear expectations, and fostering a high-performance sales culture.
- Develop and implement sales strategies, goals, and objectives in alignment with the overall business strategy.
- Coach, mentor, and develop sales representatives to enhance their sales skills, product knowledge, and overall performance.
- Foster a high-performance culture by promoting shared leadership, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address performance issues promptly.
- Perform ride- alongs with all sales representatives to provide training and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide oversight and assistance in quoting and closing complex opportunities.
- Assist with HR recruiting to identify sales talent, upgrade and succession planning as needed.
- Support usage of Office Dynamics 365 CRM, maintain customer/service center alignment, and load opportunities, contacts, and additional information as needed.
- Support team members in cultivating a strong sense of self-awareness to navigate complex client relationships and challenging sales scenarios with grace and diplomacy.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth for all IPS divisions.
- Collaborate with local and regional teams to define sales objectives, market expansion plans, and customer acquisition strategies.
- Drive growth in new accounts and cross-selling across the IPS platform.
- Identify new market opportunities, analyze market trends, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Review and analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to make informed decisions and recommendations for sales improvement.
- Team with the IPS Training department to drive improvement and understanding of IPS products and solutions.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product Development, and Customer Service, to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives and customer support.
- Support IPS National/Industrial Accounts program
Sales Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Establish sales performance metrics, monitor KPIs, and provide regular reports to the local/regional team on sales results, forecasts, and trends.
- Conduct regular sales meetings and pipeline reviews to track progress, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Participate and assist with Sales/Marketing Roundtable.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree or related experience.
- Prefer 5+ years of high-performance selling experience with similar product applications, preferably in the rotating equipment industry or equivalent.
- Ability to demonstrate a servant leadership style, prioritizing the growth and well-being of team member
- Display exceptional emotional intelligence, understanding the impact of one's actions and words on team members.
- Exhibit a high level of self-awareness and emotional resilience, particularly when faced with pressure or conflict.
