Acquisition Governance and Oversight (AGO) and Acquisition Support (ASD) Directorates Lead
Position Description :
As a member of the team, you will support CBP's mission by facilitating the acquisition of a mix of services, infrastructure and technology solutions. This is achieved by focusing on acquisition governance, oversight, support, and procurement as well as providing services (program management, financial management and procurement) across all CBP.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The AGO and ASD Directorates Lead will provide expert advice and technical support for the development and execution of procurement documents aligned with the seven steps of the Procurement Life Cycle. This role is pivotal in ensuring that products and services required by CBP headquarters and front-line personnel are acquired efficiently and effectively. The Directorates Lead will resolve critical problems, recommend acquisition streamlining and innovation, and support senior leadership and operational functions.

- Expert Advice and Technical Support:
- Offer expert advice to management and technical support for initiating and developing procurement documents.
- Ensure alignment with the seven steps of the Procurement Life Cycle.
- Acquisition and Streamlining:
- Facilitate the acquisition of products and services necessary for CBP mission execution.
- Recommend and implement acquisition streamlining and innovation strategies.
- Provide advice and assistance to officials at various financial levels.
- Leadership and Management:
- Demonstrate strong managerial skills in organizing, planning, directing, and managing contractor staff.
- Assist the CSS Program Manager in providing team leadership, guidance, and program management vision.
- Supervise personnel, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and timely.
- Operational Support and Participation:
- Participate in and enhance Source Selection Boards, Integrated Procurement Teams, and focused training initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of seven years (7) of relevant experience in acquisition governance, oversight, and support.
- Proven track record of managing and leading procurement and acquisition activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
- Experience can be utilized in lieu of a degree.
