Product Delivery Lead

The Product Delivery Lead works to ensure the team's success in delivery, primarily by helping to identify and especially remove impediments impacting the team's ability to deliver. The Product Delivery Lead should identify roadblocks early, and work to resolve and escalate those when needed. A Product Delivery Lead supports multiple cross-functional product teams (pods), and serves as the Scrum Master for each of those product teams.
The Product Delivery Lead will build close working relationships with our clients and internal business partners to work towards tracking key strategic and commercial outcomes. They will develop a solid understanding of the product's users, knowledge of the client marketplace, the product's competition, and future trends affecting the product's domain. They will be motivational to delivery teams and understand the importance of leadership approaches while managing project budgets, contracts and deliverables.

They will be motivational to delivery teams and understand the importance of leadership approaches while managing project budgets, contracts and deliverables.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties:
- Assess business and user value, develop cases, and prioritize user stories, epics and themes to ensure design, development and validation work focuses on these at all times, and aligns with agreed Product Strategies
- Manage and track all high-integrity commitments and cross team dependencies
- Provide proactive visibility into and effectively communicate delivery targets, commitments and progress
- Work to minimize meetings and ensure needed meetings are well-run and efficient
- Encourage a culture of team-driven decision making and commitment through building team trust and facilitating team-building activities
- Foster an efficient and creative work environment to boost team performance.
- Coach team, where appropriate, to improve collaboration and outcomes (coaching is the primary responsibility of teams' managers)
- Work with Development and Product leadership to ensure the right resources are available to assure timely delivery of product features and enhancements
- Help resolve any issues that might hinder the product's development and take control of the mitigation of any risks and dependencies
- Ensure the iterative process on deliverables when necessary.
- Ensure smooth communication between the CTO and organization leadership and the team.
- Use Agile methodology to run Agile ceremonies ( stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospective meetings) and to ensure projects and products are delivered as expected
- Setting and agreeing acceptance criteria for user stories as well as refining the product backlog in preparation for the next iteration
- Translate regular project/Scrum reports for wider and disparate audiences; share insights and learnings internally and externally as part of the Product Team
- Oversee project timelines and budgets
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of project management experience within a tech company
- General understanding of how large scale software systems are designed, built, tested, deployed and into the hands of customers.
- Strong understanding of delivery and go-to-market methods and metrics.
- General understanding of the role of product managers, product designers, engineers, quality assurance, devops and product marketers
- Experience with owning the communication of the product vision, outcomes, and user stories to multiple groups - client stakeholders, the product team, and other relevant third parties
- Strong communication skills including patient, empathetic, direct conflict resolution
- High levels of emotional intelligence, personal resilience and empathy
- Strong understanding and experience in agile and lean design and development approaches
- Ability to work and communicate in multiple contexts - client, team, partner, etc
- Strong storytelling and presentation skills
- Ability to motivate and bring teams together
- Ability to prioritize
