Dedicated finance leader supporting clinical and operational excellence within the Market-based organization (MBO). This position is aligned with the MBO service lines to drive operational performance and strategic initiatives. The Vice President of Operational Finance serves as a thought-leader in using financial techniques to support, coach and enable MBO executives and operational leaders to deliver outstanding performance. This leader will serve as the financial liaison and advisor to the MBO and market CFO regarding operations and strategic alignment with our academic partners.

Responsibilities
• Collaborates with local operations team in business units (e.g. Divisions, MBOs and/or service lines) to formulate, refine, and operationalize key initiatives and tactics to ensure operational and financial success
• Owns market operational finance performance management at the business-unit level, provides insights, measures success, and coaches leadership on improvement opportunities
• Collaborates with our academic partner, hospital leadership and physician enterprise by providing financial guidance around key strategy and program development
• Provides support to market CFO for market Board and Board Committee meetings and reviews
• Partners with FP&A and FISA to conduct and interpret financial analysis to support FP&A decision making
• Translates/communicates business unit initiatives to markets and drives accountability assigned to Executive Sponsors and Champions
• Coaches front line business unit managers on operational finance principles
• Supports development of business unit and/or service line plans/budgets/forecasts, including all specific assumptions and supporting analysis
• Coordinates with the market planning/budgeting manager to ensure key insights are incorporated into planning process, and outcomes are clearly defined and communicated back to executive sponsors and champions
• Collaborates with business unit operational leaders to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and develop action plans for meeting targets
• Partners with market leadership to develop in-depth understanding of business unit risks and opportunities; and incorporate these into the planning process

Qualifications
• Master's degree required.
• Eight (8) plus years in business/finance position preferable in healthcare.
• Five (5) plus years experience working in an Academic Medical Center
