With production facilities throughout North America, The HC Companies is a leading Manufacturer of horticulture growing containers, our mission, "From Grower to Gardner, Improving Our World".Job PurposeThe purpose of the District Sales Manager role is to develop and execute strategic sales plan to grown and manage business within designated territory.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute strategic sales plan to grow and manage business within designated territoryPerform sales and marketing activities to meet and exceed forecastUtilize data to proactively manage territory and grow the businessAnalyze market potential and communicate competitor market dataDevelop good working relationship with manufacturing teamDevelop and maintain strong value added relationships with customers, independent reps and internal resourcesImplement selling tactics that focus on delivering the desired financial resultsSupport and implement strategic corporate brand marketing initiativesActively participate in trade shows, conventions, dealer shows, etc.Develop primary knowledge of the marketplace (users, applications, products, competition, and channels)Respond to phone calls and e-mails in a timely fashionWilling to learn the industry and help us maintain and grow our marketplace positionAttend business meetings and trainings as requiredPerform other administrative tasks and special projects as assignedQualificationsQualifications and ExperienceIdeally located in or willing to relocate to OhioBachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in business, sales, marketing, advertising, or similar field preferred3-5 years of experience in a sales, marketing, advertising, event or retail related setting.
