Ensures that daily lab operations run smoothly; responsible for purchasing, ordering supplies and repairs; organizes and sets up equipment. Manage work orders for standard maintenance and repair of equipment.Processing existing samples with existing protocols.Enters and organizes data into spreadsheets.Helps conduct marine ecological research conducting respirometry trials with invertebrates.Train students in use of equipment and safety protocols.Attend lab meetings.Required Qualifications
Should display excellent interpersonal skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Working knowledge of data management programs.Ability to work independently and as a team member.Ability to keep a detailed, organized laboratory notebook.Excellent time management skills.Basic knowledge of laboratory skills such as pipetting.Knowledge of data acquisition and analysis techniques.Good organization.Ability to operate computer and other equipment in the office.Basic math and computer knowledge.Ability to perform multiple tasks independently.High school diploma and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrates ability to solve problems in innovative ways.Bachelor's Degree in a related area and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.Salary & Benefits
