The University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center (UNMCCC) and the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology at the UNM School of Medicine invite applications from physicians or physician scientists with training and expertise in medical oncology and a focused interest in clinical care and clinical/translational research for patients with thoracic and aero-digestive malignancies. The successful applicant will participate in the multidisciplinary clinical care of patients and in the design and conduct of cancer clinical trials as a member of the UNMCCC Multidisciplinary Working Group in Lung and Aerodigestive Malignancies. This is an Open Rank, Open Track position. Faculty rank and appointment will be commensurate with accomplishments. The successful applicant will have fellowship training and strong interest in the development of clinical trials and immune/targeted therapies for lung cancer. Emphasis is placed on the ability to foster interactions between laboratory and clinical investigators, participate in multidisciplinary clinical trial teams, and participate in the teaching mission of the Division and the Cancer Center. Minimum Qualifications:MD or MD/PhD degree or equivalent with board certification in Internal MedicineBoard certification/eligibility in Medical OncologyExperience in cancer clinical trials with a focused interest in thoracic malignanciesMust be eligible to work in the U.S.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in cancer clinical trial design and conductExperience in resident/fellow education.Experience in clinical and translational research.A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.Application Instructions
