Human Resources Manager (Hybrid in Durham, NC; Chicago, IL; or Washington, DC)The HR Manager is a member of a growing team of Partner Solutions HR consultants who provide expertise-based services to a suite of non-profit organizations with whom Arabella works. In this role, you will handle employee relations, provide support in the creation and update of policies, and address a high volume of HR inquiries for Arabella's nonprofit clients. This role is ideal for an HR professional who is comfortable navigating through conflict resolution, customer and employee facing interactions. This is a full-time position reporting to the Associate Director (AD) of Partner Solutions HR.Responsibilities

Manage a variety of staffing situations, such as rapid or planned growth, restructuring, terminations, performance, conflict resolution, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies.Own complex client HR engagements. Provide coaching, guidance, and strategic leadership to executives and managers as a trusted partner and liaise with client contacts and internal account managers.Maintain employee confidence and protect confidentiality of personnel data.Provide support in managing existing and emerging union bargaining units. Support union-related requests, including aggregating documentation and data, and shepherding internal resources.Support the research, drafting, and update of HR policies, ensuring our practices stay up to date with changing federal, multi-state, and local laws and regulations, and ensuring employees adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational standards.Maintain and deploy working knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and benefit plans, and provide guidance and interpretation on HR policies to internal stakeholders and clients.Respond in an accurate and timely manner to all client-facing inquiries assigned via the Case Management system.Other Responsibilities

Support triage, tracking, case response, and assignment for case logging system to provide exceptional daily service to client staff.Work cooperatively with various team members to ensure implementation and management of internal processes designed for regulatory compliance.Troubleshoot issues and solve problems independently or escalate when necessary.Other duties assigned.Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of Employee Relations and employee facing experience. Union environment experience preferred.Working knowledge of multi-state employment laws, as well as NLRA and NLRB processes.Experience in professional services environment, PEO or similar highly desired. Strong client service and interpersonal skills such as tact and diplomacy required.Outstanding organization and prioritization skills - ability to manage multiple demands, projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Salesforce, UKG, and Excel preferred.Ability to think critically.Highly effective at communicating analysis, recommendations, and conclusions.Ability to draft high-quality correspondence and written materials.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong customer service mentality and high degree of integrity, accountability, and emotional intelligence.Optimism and adaptability.Experience in a progressive, mission-driven, and entrepreneurial environment.Passion for philanthropy, nonprofits, or foundation operations.Working with Us

This position must be based in Durham, NC, Chicago, IL or Washington, DC. All Arabella Advisors’ offices have reopened, and we work in a hybrid environment. We reopened our offices in Summer of 2022 and work with a hybrid workplace strategy to ensure continued flexibility for our staff, while deepening our strong culture rooted in collaboration and in-person interactions between colleagues. We expect that after their initial onboarding, all Arabellans will have the choice of two hybrid schedules. Our hybrid schedule options include Flex, with 1-2 days per week in the office, or Office-based, with 3+ days per week in the office (or more if preferred) and the remaining days working at home/remotely. This is a full-time position. We offer a competitive and holistic total rewards package that includes salary, bonus, and benefits. Our compensation ranges are based on salary ranges for similar sized organizations in the professional services sector and adjusted for local labor market rates and differentiated by geography.Chicago pay range: $66,000.00 - $75,000.00DC pay range: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00How to Apply
