Qualifications:

Must be a licensed psychiatrist, licensed psychologist, licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), licensed professional counselor (LPC), or licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) with a minimum of five (5) years qualifying experience in treating psychiatric disorders and who maintains a current, unrestricted license to practice in the state of Louisiana. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with previous supervision experience preferably in a social work or behavioral health setting. Writing skills are necessary to perform the job.

Position Summary:

Ensures EHCS BH adheres to rules and regulations regarding all behavioral health treatment, such as group size, caseload, and referrals; serves as a resource for other professionals counseling or providing direct services to clients with behavioral health disorders; and provides supervision utilizing evidence-based techniques related to the practice of behavioral health counseling.

Supervisor Hierarchy:

Medical Director > Administrator > President/Owner > Immediate Supervisor of the Clinical Supervisor and/or the Clinical Staff (as applicable)

ADMINISTRATION/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducts facility administrative and department meetings as required and individual meetings with staff as structured within EHCS BH.

Attends clinical staffing conferences as needed.

Plans clinical staff schedules in relation to census fluctuations.

Leads group and individual therapy sessions as needed.

Completes personnel action notices as appropriate.

Conducts clinical staff performance evaluations and evaluates the effectiveness of staff as team members.

Hires and trains clinical staff in conjunction with the Administrator and Owner.

Provides leadership, clinical guidance, and supervision for staff.

Prioritizes issues and initiates action accordingly.

Communicates important issues to staff and corporate office.

Ensures that the necessary services are provided to meet the needs of the clients.

Directs the course of clinical treatment for all clients.

Reviews reports of all accidents/incidents occurring on the premises and identifies hazards to the Administrator.

Participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the delivery of services.

Periodically reviews delivery of services to ensure care meets the current standards of practice, including client chart reviews.

Participates in the development of new programs and modifications.

Provides consultative and on-call coverage to ensure the health and safety of clients.

Collaborates with the client’s primary care physician and psychiatrist as needed for continuity of the client’s care.

Reviews and approves clinical notes weekly to ensure billing can continuously occur.

CONSULTATION AND EDUCATION

Provide consultation about clinical and administrative issues to other resources as requested.

Provide educational training and information to the families and friends of clients and to the general public as needed.

Provide leadership about in-service training offered to staff, assuring that it meets licensure standards and clinical needs (i.e., clinical documentation, etc.).
