Purchasing Agent/Strategic Sourcing Agent
Develop and implement part procurement strategies for your assigned commodities. Establish procurement of parts and material in alignment with departmental policies. Develop supplier relationships and performance improvement to ensure supply continuity. Responsible for initiatives to achieve lower total cost including negotiation, planning and execution. New model part sourcing and supplier development. Manage projects in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Ensure compliance with company business policies and procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute annual strategic procurement plan including spend analysis, risk evaluation, capacity verification and performance improvementEnsure supplier relationship management including quality, cost and deliveryManage supplier selection, RFQ process, negotiation and contractsUnderstand supplier's manufacturing process including on-site visitsProcure parts to support New Product introductionsApply effective sourcing risk assessment methodologies to ensure supplier continuityRequirementsBachelor Degree or relevant experience
