Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Denver has been serving Northern Colorado since 1927. We serve tens of thousands of people each year in seven ministries: Marisol Services, Early Childhood Education, Shelter Services, Catholic Charities Housing, St. Raphael Counseling, Family, Kinship, and Senior Services; and Parish & Community Engagement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerform the full range of activities required to prepare and submit grant applications/proposals to private and public fundersResearch relevant databases and other online sources to evaluate and discern potential new sources of grant fundingWork with program managers and accounting to gather the information necessary to report on grants from private and public funders; look to improve/streamline systems that are currently in place.Coordinate the internal review of grant agreements/contracts to ensure that Catholic Charities can meet/comply with contractual obligations, insurance requirements and terminologyAttend in-person or online informational meetings (webinars, pre-bid trainings) put on by grant funders pertaining to specific grant opportunitiesMeet/speak with grant officers at private foundations to: develop professional relationships, represent Catholic Charities' interests, and pitch Catholic Charities' ministries' funding needsCreate presentation materials related to grant training or grant metrics which would be presented internally to leadership or in large group training settingsUtilize advanced critical thinking skills to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop innovative solutions.Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of public and private grant industry including experience working on larger state and federal grants.Experience in developing and maintaining collaborative, effective partnershipsKnowledgeable in field of housing and homeless servicesStrong writing and editing skills and the ability to write clear, structured, articulate and persuasive proposalsStrong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact daily with many different audiencesAbility to juggle several priority projects at the same timeSignificant experience with proposal writing.Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred, but not requiredCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$65,000- $70,000 DOE annually

Schedule:

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. This position is a hybrid in-person/remote position with two anchor days required at the Catholic Charities' administrative office each week.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree and minimum of five years of experience in grant research/prospecting and grant writing, non-profit experience preferred. Lived-experience/expertise of homelessness and or housing/instability is valued.

Training:

We provide a robust training curriculum that will support our employees throughout their career. Training provided within the first year of employment includes: De-escalation & Safety; Public Speaking; Mental Health First Aid; Substance Abuse & Mental Health; Human Trafficking; Trauma Informed Care; and many more.
