We are currently seeking a PT Hospice Volunteer Coordinator in the Hospice Austin area who shares our passion for providing dignified, compassionate end-of-life care.

Shift Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours a week, Monday - Friday

Bachelor's Degree preferred in Human Services, Speech, Public Relations, or related areaThree to five years management experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experienceOne year of experience supervising others to include: setting performance expectations, coaching, motivating, promoting collaboration and teamwork, managing change, providing performance feedback, delegating effectively, resolving conflicts, etcPossesses a sympathetic attitude toward caring for the hospice patient and demonstrates positive communication skills in interacting with all members of the hospice teamMust have valid driver's license, good driving record, and current auto insuranceWhat you will be doing:

Responsible for all aspects of the Silverado Hospice and Supportive Care Volunteer ProgramRecruit new and onboard volunteers for each of the hospice sites assignedManage personal files for each volunteerProvide ongoing management, education, and training to each volunteerEnsure each Volunteer Program is complying with The Joint Commission Standards and CMS Condition of ParticipationParticipate in Quality Improvement initiatives and meetingsEnsure accurate documentation of volunteer activity and volunteer care plans are entered in the medical recordParticipate in Interdisciplinary Team meetingsAchieve and/or maintain 4-5-star rating in the We Honor Veterans ProgramMaintain delivery of Silverado specialty programs such as Memory Catchers, Essential Oils, and Petal for PatientsCoordinate volunteers to meet patient care and administrative needsModels Silverado LOVE>fear philosophyThis position is a Volunteer Coordinator position for a hospice and palliative care agencyThis position requires the ability to function independently. As it is a healthcare position caring for individuals with chronic and/or terminal illnesses, the environment can be mentally and emotionally stressful, and involves working with emotionally upset patients and family membersThis position requires the ability to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position It requires the ability to remain calm and level-headed in emergenciesOther duties as assigned#LI-MH1
