Phathom Pharmaceuticals is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of novel treatments for gastrointestinal (GI) diseases. We have licensed the exclusive rights in the United States, Europe, and Canada to vonoprazan, a first-in-class potassium-competitive acid blocker (PCAB). Phathom currently markets VOQUEZNA (vonoprazan) tablets for the treatment of Erosive GERD and associated heartburn in adults, as well as VOQUEZNA TRIPLE PAK (vonoprazan tablets, amoxicillin capsules, clarithromycin tablets) and VOQUEZNA DUAL PAK (vonoprazan tablets, amoxicillin capsules) for the treatment of

H. pylori

infection in adults. In addition, the company is actively investigating the use of vonoprazan as a treatment for Non-Erosive GERD, with a New Drug Application currently under review by the FDA and a separate Phase 3 trial planned to initiate in 2024.

The Total Rewards & HR Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in our Total Rewards team, helping to develop and implement compensation strategies that attract, motivate, and retain top talent. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking and operational excellence, ensuring our compensation practices align with our business goals and values. By integrating Phathom’s values into every aspect of compensation, this position strengthens our commitment to our employees and our mission.

Accountabilities

Oversee the day-to-day administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other related benefits.Collaborate with HR team to ensure seamless delivery of benefits and compensation programs and proactively resolve any issues that may arise.Lead wellness initiatives to further enhance employees' health and wellbeing. Plan, implement, and evaluate wellness programs, coordinate with key partners on programs, projects, and initiatives.Work with Head of Total Rewards to conduct competitive analysis and recommend modifications or new plans to maintain the company’s competitive position.Partner with HR and business leaders to know role requirements, providing guidance on compensation recommendations, policy interpretations, and job evaluations.Manage salary planning, incentive programs, ensuring they operate within budget and comply with legal requirements.Manage the day-to-day administration of equity programs, including grants, exercise, vesting, releases, and forfeitures.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of equity holdings, exercises, and grants.Manage relationships with the stock plan administrator to ensure that all equity transactions, including grants, exercises, distributions, and cancellations, are accurately processed in a timely and efficient manner.Manage compensation projects, including annual salary reviews, bonus cycles, and long-term incentive awards, ensuring they are accurate and on time.Advocate for and deploy equitable compensation practices, promoting equity and transparency across the organization.Service as subject matter expert in design and delivery of compensation-related topics, enhancing knowledge and appreciation of Phathom’s total rewards package.

Education & Experience

Bachelor degree required5 or more years of experience with an emphasis on compensation and equity plan administration.Experience in HR operations and employee services, a plusLeads with critical and creative problem-solving skills with strong multi-tasking and prioritization.Proven ability to manage projects with strategic speed and precision, demonstrating determination and adaptabilityExcellent interpersonal, collaboration, written, verbal and visual communication skillsProven ability to successfully manage projects and timelines, organize/track complex information.

This is a hybrid position, requiring some in-office presence in Florham Park, NJ.
