Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will be a high-potential individual who can immediately assist the Supply Planning Manager by acquiring quotes; forwarding purchase orders to suppliers; and monitoring and expediting orders. Verifies receipt of items, and resolves shipments in error with suppliers. Will make sure all receiving documentation is received, and invoices are paid on time. Responsible for producing the weekly production schedule and ensuring the necessary components are on hand.
Essential Functions:
This list is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary from time to time.Assist with requisitions and purchasing of all packaging items.Track and monitor purchase orders, from initial order to delivery.Coordinate and manage packaging supplies across three manufacturing facilities.Prepare invoices for payment by collecting receiving documentation and running reports.Coordinate any product returns or shipment errors with vendors.Resolve all delivery, pricing and quality discrepancies and deviations of purchased items.Perform weekly inventory audits to ensure necessary supplies are on hand for the published production schedule.Request artwork, spec sheets, and documentation from vendors as requested.Help prepare MOH reports for biweekly S&OP and material meetings.Produce the weekly production schedule and make changes as needed.Assist with new item setup, routings, and product structures.Compile sales information using NGS software or Power BI reports.Any other duties as assigned by the Supply Planning Manager and Senior Management.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, and accounting software.Above-average oral and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational skills.Flexible and able to handle change.Minimum Qualifications:
A high school diploma/GED is required (Associate degree or higher preferred).2+ years of experience in purchasing, or procurement preferred.Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Capable of demonstrating a history of self-direction, motivation, and strategic thinking.Must have strong organizational skills.Able to work with cross-functional departments within the organization.Good problem-solving skills.Strong computer skills with experience using Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Physical Requirements:
Required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel.Required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.Close vision abilities are required.Ability to travel as needed.

This position is part of the Corporate Supply Planning Group and work will take place within our Corporate Headquarters and Manufacturing facilities in Sioux City, Iowa. This position will come in contact with many other employees within the facility and it is the expectation of the organization that we always maintain an attitude of dignity and respect when interacting with each other.
