Posted: 09/12/24The mission of the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago (EFGC) is to lead the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives.EFGC is a not-for-profit organization serving since 1946. It offers education, advocacy, and case management to people living with epilepsy, their families, and the communities in which they live, all in the service of helping our constituents seize the narrative back from epilepsy.The next President and CEO will be charting Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago’s course for years to come and will have the opportunity to scale the organization significantly. Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago has a budget size of $2.5M and is currently serving a diverse group of over 1,400 members.The President and Chief Executive Officer reports to a 12-member Board of Directors and is ultimately responsible for the vibrancy and engagement of a volunteer community. Additionally, the incoming EFGC President and CEO will be responsible for the direction and oversight of the EFGC Medical Advisory Board and Associate Board.The incoming President and Chief Executive Officer will have the opportunity to expand the Foundation’s scope and activity, guiding the Board and the staff in strengthening partnerships and maximizing the potential of Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago’s programs and reach.The next President and CEO of Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago will be a proven visionary leader with a minimum of five to ten years of progressive executive leadership experience and will have a deep and abiding passion for the mission of Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago and the individuals and families it serves.The compensation range for this position annually is between $200,000 and $250,000. EFGC provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes dental, medical, vision, and life insurance coverage. EFGC offers a 403(b)-retirement plan with a match of 2%-4%. Additionally, EFGC will make a 6% non-elective contribution to your retirement plan after one year of service, regardless of your personal contribution. The President and CEO will have 32 days of paid time off (PTO), along with 14 paid holidays and 8 sick days. EFGC also offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to support your well-being as well as a Flexible Spending Account.
