The Assistant Chief Information Officer reports directly to the County’s Chief Information Officer and works closely with senior leaders across the County, including operations, technology, compliance, communications, legal, and Human Resources, to develop and execute the long-term technology strategies in support of County priorities and strategies. This is a highly visible role with an opportunity to make an impact across the County. This is an unclassified position.Qualifications:A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Public or Business Administration, or a related field, AND one of the following options:OPTION A: A minimum of three years of experience at the level of the County of Los Angeles class of Departmental Chief Information Officer II, Sr. Consultant CIO or equivalent, responsible for developing, implementing, or monitoring large and complex IT programs or initiatives for a diverse multi-service public sector organization.OPTION B: A minimum of ten years of experience managing large-scale IT programs/projects including staff management in a complex organization, three years of which must have been at an executive level.LICENSE: A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
