Exciting opportunity to join Brigham and Women’s Hospital as a valued Pediatrician – outpatient Primary Care Physician at Brookside Community Health Center in Jamaica Plain.
Brookside Health Center is a comprehensive facility offering primary care and specialty services, including dental, nutrition/WIC, lab, and behavioral health. Licensed by Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), part of the Mass General Brigham (MGB) Healthcare system.
Our mission is focused on compassionate, high-quality, team-based care for all patients and families, with a particular focus on vulnerable populations. A majority of our patients are insured by Masshealth (Medicaid) and live within surrounding communities of Jamaica Plain, Hyde Park, Mattapan, Dorchester, Roxbury, Roslindale, and West Roxbury.
Our mission extends to serving our community, with community outreach programs and partnerships, including our prior COVID-19 testing site, screenings and resources for social determinants of health, voter registration, free skin cancer screenings, and partnership with the MGB Mobile Van, providing services for high blood pressure, substance use disorder, and more. A majority of our patients are Spanish speaking, with many first- and second-generation immigrants, particularly from the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Central America. We aim to provide language-concordant, equitable care for all our patients.
Racial Justice and Health Equity are core tenants at Brookside. As a Patient-Centered Medical Home, we employ a team-based care model with integrated behavioral health, RNs, community health workers, and resources for substance use disorder treatment. We prioritize wellness for both staff and patients, continuously working on initiatives to improve well-being across our center. Our PCPs see a diverse patient population, spanning all demographics and conditions. There are opportunities for teaching and precepting medical students and residents, with faculty appointments available through Harvard Medical School. This position can be part-time or full-time, offering clinical sessions ranging from 0.375 FTE (3 sessions) to 0.750 FTE (6 sessions or 24 clinical hours per week).
