Supervising Engineers
to supervise a section of staff engaged in the major activities of public works and civil engineering projects and perform difficult and specialized engineering work. Positions oversee engineering projects related to review and/or design flood control facilities, solid waste management, highway, traffic, and planning projects. Responsibilities include civil engineering design; engineering review, coordinating, developing and constructing projects and other improvement plans; assigning and evaluating work; overseeing studies, plans and specifications; assisting in budget preparation; recommending expenditures; and representing the department at various meetings.

License:
Must hold current status as a registered Professional Civil Engineer (PE) with the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs.
Education : Forty-five semester (68 quarter) units in civil engineering or a closely related field. Candidates must provide a list of completed coursework.
Experience:
Four (4) years of professional experience working as a civil engineer or engineer in a closely related field.
