The Department of Plastic Surgery at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, invites applications for a faculty physician with an interest in breast reconstructive procedures, as well as research, clinical patient care and education. The primary responsibility for the position will be participating in the care of patients at the University Hospitals as well as work with the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center is the first and only National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center in North Texas. Additional responsibilities include participation in didactic sessions, seminars and rounds with plastic surgery residents and medical students. Opportunities to develop clinical research expertise exist.

Applicants should have leadership, collaborative, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to make important contributions to the field of plastic surgery, as well as the flexibility to meet the needs of a large and dynamic department. This position requires fellowship training in reconstructive microsurgery. Candidates must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D., must be board certified or board eligible in Plastic Surgery and be eligible for Texas medical licensure. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule.
