Days of Week: VARIABLE
Performs simple and complex analysis on tissue, blood and body fluids using laboratory instrumentation, manual methods and procedures. Approves the performance of tests by technicians. Assumes accountability for patient tests by providing a high standard of quality using independent judgment in the performance of standard operating procedures and complex instrumentation in varying sample environments.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology;
ORBachelor Degree and one year as a Medical Laboratory Technician;
OR90 semester hours college credit with 24 semester hours of academic science and completion of an approved clinical laboratory training program;
ORAssociate Degree and appropriate combination of training and experiencePlease seek licensure guidance by reviewing up to date licensure qualifications from the Florida Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Must possess either a temporary or current license as a State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the specialty(s) required for the jobMotor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose
