Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room Job Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12 Hour Mids (3 PM - 3 AM) Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Per Week Experience: Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred. At least one prior travel assignment preferred. License: Active State RN License Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS) Must-Have: General nursing skills Job Description: - Provide high-quality care to a diverse range of patients, including newborns, the elderly, and critically ill individuals.- Prepare to handle cases from minor complaints to cardiac arrest, strokes, and heart attacks.- Work within a Level 1 Trauma Center environment, although primary care for trauma patients will not be expected.- Utilize EPIC for patient care documentation.- Adhere to a flexible work schedule while accommodating time-off requests as possible.- Participate in block scheduling if needed.- No on-call requirements for travelers; work every other weekend and holiday, with variations based on day or night shifts.- Rarely provide assistance in inpatient units beyond the emergency department.- Train using EPIC and receive two full 12-hour shifts for orientation.- Maintain professional attire, wearing tasteful scrubs with solid-colored shirts underneath.
