Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Emergency Room Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Days Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Per Week Experience: Preferably 1 Year of Nursing Experience and 1 Prior Travel Assignment License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC or TNS Must-Have: General Nursing Skills, Level 1 Trauma Center Experience Preferable Job Description: - Provide care for a diverse patient population ranging from newborns to the elderly.- Manage a wide variety of patient complaints from minor cases to critically ill patients.- Care for patients in cardiac arrest, those having strokes, and heart attacks regularly.- Work in a Level 1/2 trauma environment; handle trauma patients after stabilization.- Utilize EPIC ASAP software for patient management and documentation.- Must be willing to work every other weekend and holiday based on unit patterns.- Flexible scheduling with potential for block scheduling based on availability.- May be infrequently floated to assist in inpatient areas; ED nurses will not take a team when floated.- Initial orientation includes one day of EPIC training and two full 12-hour floor orientation shifts.
