Position Overview:
Assist department with fiduciary cash management. Reconcile designated ledger accounts. Assist Manager with strategy development and problem solving.
Essential Responsibilities:Post and allocate client/reinsurer cash receipts and paymentsConfer with Finance with regards to cash coding and receipts; assist with reconciliationsEnter/Authorize new Bank Instructions from reinsurance partnersTrouble-shoot Wire/Payment issues with BanksPrepare and render client/reinsurer statements for collection/settlement of account dueCreate payment requests in conjunction with the balance agreed upon by client/reinsurerCoordinate with team members to ensure claims/premiums are rendered on the statements correctlyCommunicate with reinsurers and London bureau account handlers to ensure timely settlement of fundsMaintain records according to departmental standardsRequired Education, Experience and Skills:
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four year college or university or equivalent preferably in Accounting, Finance, Math, Economics or other similarly quantitative or analytically oriented majorExperience reconciling client and reinsurance accountsAbility to undertake tasks and responsibilities on multi-company ledger accountsAbility to see big picture with excellent attention to detailAbility to manage time, prioritize and work to deadlines; adept at multi-tasking with strong organizational skillsHighly collaborative personality with ability to maintain positive client relationships; flexible to meet the needs and demands of a fast-paced work environmentAbility to effectively communicate and interact with internal and external clients and vendors through both verbal and written means with excellent listening ability. The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide marker range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary advanced to the desired candidate will be based on a number of factors, including geographic location and the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the desired candidate.
