Summary:
The Treasury Liquidity Management function of Mizuho's Americas Regional Treasury provides oversight over liquidity and funding risks within the US Operations of Mizuho Financial Group. It is responsible for ensuring compliance with Enhanced Prudential Standards (EPS) liquidity requirements for Foreign Bank Organizations (FBOs). Scope covers the US Branches of Mizuho Bank and a US bank holding company, including subsidiaries such as the broker dealer and derivative trading entities.
You will work within Mizuho Americas Regional Treasury in a Liquidity Management capacity. You are comfortable with interacting with senior management across various legal entities, business lines, and functions.
Responsibilities:Consolidate subsidiary and branch liquidity data into cohesive presentations for senior management committees, governing bodies, and working groups. Scope includes ALCO, CRO packs, and regulator decks.Understand and explain key drivers of change in liquidity stress testing for material US entities.Rely upon a working knowledge of FR2052a reporting and LCR / NSFR rules to attribute day over day changes to corresponding balance sheet activity.Analyze and attest to data produced by the FR 2052a 6G regulatory reporting team; participate in FR2052a governing body meetings.Understand liquidity risk models and assumptions, including implementation of enhancements as needed to address changing regulatory or market environments.Assess liquidity impacts of prospective products and businesses as part of the New Product Approval Process.Maintain Treasury Liquidity Policies, Standards, and Procedures periodically and as needed. Scope includes Liquidity Stress Assumptions documentation.Contribute on projects related to systems transformation and new reporting developments.Qualifications:
5 or more years experience in an analytical role in a Treasury department or Liquidity function.Understanding of Liquidity risk management concepts, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity stress testing, and analysis of funding sources and uses for both bank and broker dealer entities.Working knowledge of FR2052a reporting rules and application, as well as LCR, NSFR.Knowledge of key liquidity risk regulations such as Regulation YY - Enhanced Prudential Standards for Foreign Banking Organizations (FBOs).Good presentation and communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to communicate effectively on abstract risk management concepts.High degree of comfort when working with data and spreadsheets (e.g. pivot tables and vlookups), including VBA, Power BI, SQL, and macros.Ability to quickly absorb financial concepts and apply them to real world situations.Familiarity with financial statement analysis of banks and financial institutions.Bachelor's degree required; finance or accounting degree preferred.
The expected base salary ranges from $100,000 - $190,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
