Our client, a 160-bed acute care community hospital located in the Derby, CT is seeking a Ultrasound Tech (Direct Hire).

Job Summary:• Performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician.• Performs EKG and Phlebotomy functions as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:• Responsible for handling all aspects of patient care associated with the diagnostic function.• Prepares room, equipment, medicine, and materials as needed. Prepares patient for procedure.• Follows prescribed techniques in performing Ultrasound procedures.• Performs EKG and Phlebotomy functions.• Maintains responsibility for attendance/reliability to ensure that the Hospital is operated in an efficient and cost-effective manner.• Performs quality control checks on equipment, collects data for departmental quality indicators, submits data as directed.• Performs all necessary paperwork inherent in the position; is responsive to all safety issues/concerns and assists with the general operations of the department.• Some Breast Ultrasound experience• Samsung Machine used for scans
Requirements:• Registered ARRT (S) accepted; however, ARDMS National Certification mandatory• CPR certification required.• A.S. Degree required
