Our client, a 160-bed acute care community hospital located in the Derby, CT is seeking a Mammography Tech (Direct Hire).

Job Summary:• Performs all technical aspects of mammography procedures including screening, diagnostic and breast biopsy; maintains QA/QC polices and procedures within MQSA regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:• Responsible for handling all aspects of patient care associated with the diagnostic function.• Prepares room, equipment, medicine, and materials as needed.• Prepares patient for procedure.Follows prescribed techniques in performing Mammography procedures• Follows prescribed techniques in performing Mammography procedures.• Maintains responsibility for attendance/reliability to ensure that the Hospital is operated in an efficient and cost effective manner.• Performs all necessary paperwork inherent in the position; is responsive to all safety issues/concerns, and assists with the general operations of the department.• Demonstrates competence in positioning techniques, MQSA, QC/QA, exposure factors, restraint methods and imaging procedures including digital mammography, stereotactic biopsy and localization procedures.• Some Breast experience• Hologic Machine used for screens
Requirements:• A.S. degree from accredited Radiology institution• ARRT(R)(M)
