Deputy Program Manager
to support our Navy customer in
Washington, DC.
Security Clearance:
Applicant must be eligible to hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance. Position/Job Description:
General Tasking Description:
Assist the Program Manager in managing large, multi-year programs. Manage Large Multi-Year Programs:
Assist in managing large, multi-year programs, including the organization and direction of short and long-range plans. Program Definition and Organization:
Support the overall program definition and organization, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Technical Approach and Guidance:
Formulate, guide, and direct the technical approach for sub-programs/tasks. Resource Negotiation:
Define and negotiate with activity and agency personnel for necessary resources to support program execution. Technical Milestones and Schedules:
Establish and control technical milestones and schedules to ensure timely program delivery. Budget
and Cost Control : Manage program budgets and costs to ensure financial accountability and adherence to budget constraints. Stakeholder Communication:
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on program progress and address any issues. Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate risks associated with program execution to ensure successful outcomes. Experience Requirements:
10 years of professional experience in program/project management. Experience with DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process). Educational & Certification Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in any field. Project Management Professional (PMP) or DAU Level III certification preferred.
