To learn more about UC Irvine, visit www.uci.edu.NAThe Clinic Manager/Exercise Physiologist serves for the professional activities of the Occupational and Environmental Clinic at the Center for Occupational and Environmental Health (COEH). Serves as a member of the decision-making professional team, with clinical and administrative staff and operations, facilitating, scheduling, and tracking patient visits for 20 contracted employer occupational health programs. The Exercise Physiologist will act as a provider performing clinical fitness testing procedures for pre-placement evaluations and wellness programs. The Clinic Manager role includes the oversight and management of the clinic's day to day operations. Duties include management and coordination of outside lab and x-ray services, outside service referrals and assist doctors with case coordination. Other assignments: Assistance and participation in teaching activities for the Occupational Medicine Residency Program and other special groups. Assist with contributions in the development and interpretation of data yielded by laboratory and/or field phases of clinical research. Additionally, provides daily clinic management for the UCI main campus COVID-19 Return to Campus (RTC) project for which daily tasks include relaying physician requests for COVID-19 testing to UCI Pathology and Laboratory Services; assisting with triage of symptom checker calls; organizing after hours call schedule for physicians; performing daily updates of the COVID-19 database for Human Resources; interfacing with HR, Student Health Center, and Contact Tracing within the Department of Environmental and Occupation Health.

Strong knowledge of business software and specialized applications and data management systems used in clinic / center operations.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to quickly analyze problems, determine appropriate level of intervention, and develop and apply effective solutions.Knowledge of State OSHA requirements and workers compensation to manage occupational health record filesStrong interpersonal skills for effective collaborations with all levels of management and staff, consultants, and outside agencies.Strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to train and mentor subordinates, to convey complex administrative, clinical, and technical information in a clear and concise manner, and to prepare and present a variety of reports, documentation, analyses, and project proposals.Strong knowledge of practice operations, patient-scheduling systems, medical and insurance terminology, applicable information systems, patient service standards, and regulatory requirement and best practices.Knowledge of occupational health and workers' compensationDemonstrated supervisory and organizational skills to effectively supervise staff and to manage the complex workflow and multiple priorities involved with clinic / center administration.Knowledgeable about confidentiality of data according to HIPPA and JCAHO guidelinesStrong knowledge of human resources management policies, with the ability to train, monitor, evaluate, and document human resources issues and performance, and to participate in decision-making on human resources matters.

Required:Bachelors or Masters degree in Exercise Science or related area and / or equivalent combination of experience / training with treadmill testing experience.

Preferred:Experience in administering and interpreting 12 lead EKG treadmill tests 2-5 years Ability to accommodate and manage a variety of testing situations and clients Experience working as an Exercise Physiologist in a clinic setting 3-5 years
