The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide support across multiple school sites for the 2024/2025 school year, working with students in elementary and preschool settings. This is a full-time position requiring 37.5 hours per week.Responsibilities:Assessments and Evaluations:Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings for students.Perform comprehensive assessments to identify communication disorders.Collaborate with educators and parents to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students as needed.
Therapy and Interventions:Provide speech and language therapy to students based on individualized goals.Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans for children with speech or language impairments.Monitor progress and adjust interventions to meet students' evolving needs.
Collaboration and Documentation:Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and school staff to support students' speech and language development.Document progress and prepare reports according to school and state requirements.Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations on speech-language needs.
Supportive Duties:Assist in the development of communication strategies to support learning in the classroom.Provide consultation services to classroom teachers and other staff.Travel between assigned school sites as required.
Requirements:Licensure and Certification:
Must hold a valid California Speech-Language Pathology license.Certification from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) is required.
