This role is based in Clemmons, NC.As a member of the Clemmons site leadership team, acts as financial business partner to Plant Operations Team. Has overall financial controllership and analysis responsibility for the Clemmons plant which generates over $500M in sales for the overall business. Focused on financial controls, planning, financial reporting and cost optimization. This role is highly visible throughout the company as Clemmons is the flagship site and corporate headquarters is in nearby Charlotte. In addition to plant operations in Clemmons, this role is also business partner for the central distribution center in Mocksville NC.Responsibilities:Preparation and completion of the annual budget and quarterly forecast for the Clemmons manufacturing facility and distribution warehouse with spending and absorption targets.Establish annual work center rates to facilitate LOH costs.Month end closing process production, inventory, payroll, expense accruals etc.Analysis of monthly manufacturing variances (spending, efficiency, absorption, scrap, material usage and purchase price) for the Clemmons, NC facilityPrepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.Capture and monitor KPIs for manufacturing and operations within the Clemmons facility.Informs U.S. Operations Controller on all matters concerning the location's performance and provides advice on all financial matters.Assist plant manager in operational projects when requiredSkills and Abilities:Computer SkillsMicrosoft Office, Google, AS/400, Sequel, One Stream, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 software knowledge helpful.Other RequirementsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and effectively present information and respond to questions from executives, groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw insights / conclusions.
Qualifications:Experience:8-10 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Lean Manufacturing background preferred.Proven People leadership experienceExperience in environments of continuous flow production and manufacturing from raw materials is a plusEducation:B.
