Position Summary

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Medicine is seeking a General Psychiatrist to expand the clinical services to accommodate increased patient volume and clinical needs. We anticipate hiring a full-time psychiatrist who is interested in working with inpatient correctional psychiatry as well as other opportunities across psychiatric specialty programs including general adult outpatient psychiatry, child psychiatry, gender programs and other patient populations. Duties also include teaching/supervising fellows, residents, medical students and other trainees from a variety of disciplines.

Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsApplicants must have an MD or DO, should have general psychiatry experience and be BC/BE.Applicants must be eligible for North Carolina licensure.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

The successful applicant will have strong clinical skills and experience working with a wide population of patients.
