MLR is collaborating with a well-regarded health system to recruit a dedicated
Histology Technician
for a full-time, permanent position. In this critical role, you will support patient diagnoses by preparing and analyzing tissue samples for examination, working as a key member of the laboratory team.
Key Responsibilities:Tissue Processing & Slide Preparation: Perform tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining to prepare histologic slides for microscopic analysis.Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with safety standards.Specialized Procedures: Assist with specialized staining techniques such as immunohistochemistry.Specimen Tracking & Documentation: Accurately label, document, and track specimens, safeguarding the integrity of patient information.Collaboration: Work closely with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate reporting.Quality Control: Participate in quality control and assurance activities to maintain high laboratory performance standards.Qualifications:
Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Histotechnology or a related field.Certification: Certified as a Histology Technician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).Experience: 1+ year of experience in a histology lab (preferred).Benefits:
