Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced histology technician to join our laboratory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of histological techniques to prepare tissue samples for pathological examination.
Responsibilities:Perform tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining procedures according to established protocols.Operate and maintain histology equipment, including microtomes, tissue processors, and staining machines.Prepare reagents and solutions used in histological procedures.Ensure accuracy and quality control throughout the histology process.Maintain laboratory records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.Collaborate with pathologists and other laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate results.Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent in histotechnology or related field.Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) preferred.Minimum of [X] years of experience working in a histology laboratory setting.Proficiency in histological techniques, including tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining.Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and regulations.Benefits:
