This position is located in the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.Fort Eisenhower is approximately 139 miles east of Atlanta, GA; 80 miles southwest of Columbia, SC; 156 miles west of Charleston, SC; 175 miles southwest of Charlotte, NC; and 127 miles northwest of Savannah, Georgia. Fort Eisenhower's location is in the Augusta metropolitan area (also known as the Central Savannah River Area-CSRA) and is an easy drive to Atlanta, Savannah, Charleston, Charlotte, the beaches along the Atlantic Ocean, and the mountains.Links: https://eisenhower.tricare.mil/https://home.army.mil/eisenhower/https://www.augustaga.gov/Responsibilities:As an Endocrinologist you will:Focus on disorders of the internal (endocrine) glands such as the thyroid and adrenal glands.Examine, diagnose, treat and/or prevent diseases of the hormone producing glands of the body, including the thyroid, parathyroid, pituitary, adrenal, pancreas, and the gonads.Provide expertise with disorders such as diabetes, metabolic and nutritional disorders, obesity, pituitary diseases, and menstrual and sexual problems.Procedural expertise includes fine-needle aspiration of the thyroid, performance and interpretation of dynamic tests of endocrine function.

Qualifications:US Citizenship RequiredMust possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
