Position Overview:Lead the Human Resources function and provide guidance to University leadership. Support University mission through strategic HR initiatives, compliance with federal and state laws, and the fostering of a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy:Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the University's mission and goals.Provide guidance and leadership in the development of HR policies and programs.Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on HR-related issues, including legal matters, risk management, and employee relations.Manage HR staff.Compliance and Legal Affairs:

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.Provide legal counsel on employment-related matters, including contracts, employee disputes, and regulatory requirements.Lead Title IV compliance and provide counsel to other areas of the University.Conduct internal investigations and resolve related to HR concerns.Oversee the development and implementation of HR policies that mitigate legal risk.Compensation and Benefits:

Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs that align with the college's goals and budget.Conduct regular reviews of compensation structures to ensure equity and market competitiveness.Talent Acquisition and Management:

Oversee recruitment efforts, ensuring the college attracts and retains high-quality talent.Develop and implement strategies for employee engagement, retention, and professional development.Oversee performance evaluation processes and support in addressing performance issues.Employee Relations:

Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive work environment.Address employee concerns, grievances, and disputes in a fair and consistent manner.Lead initiatives to enhance employee morale, well-being, and work-life balance.Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school (preferred)Bachelor's DegreeA minimum of 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Extensive knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.Experience in higher education or a similar environment is preferred.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across departments.Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.Proficiency in ADP preferred.
