A global IPP that focuses on utility scale solar, storage and wind projects. Within the US, their core focus is within CAISO, ERCOT, WECC & SPP.They have hired 2 executive-level Development professionals who will be responsible for the growth of the company's portfolio, while also increasing the headcount of their Development team, with the first hire being a Senior Development Manager.

Job Description

The Senior Development Manager (Solar, storage and wind) will be responsible for:

Providing support for a growing organization in a fast-paced environmentFocus on identifying and securing new solar, storage and wind project development sites, negotiating land agreements, managing interconnection requests, and evaluating project viabilityThis role will also identify and evaluate project acquisitions and strategic partnering opportunitiesLead market analysis and site selection for greenfield developmentAcquire land leases for greenfield opportunities and maintain relationships with landowners for existing projectsManage environmental assessment campaigns and associated external consultantsManage discretionary permitting activities at all levels of governmentDirect resource management campaigns and energy production estimatesCollaborate with internal stakeholders and consultants to appropriately manage the electrical interconnection processDetermine the financial viability of projects together with the corporate finance departmentRepresent the company at regional industry association meetingsOversee projects for their entire life-cycle (inception through to COD)MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant

The Senior Development Manager (Solar, storage and wind) will be eligible for:

Minimum 5+ years of previous experience in energy project development requiredSolid understanding of the development process of major power projectsExposure to renewable energy issues and economicsExperience in US power markets, utilities, interconnection issues, and Power Purchase AgreementsTechnical understanding of power projectsExcellent project management skills with a highly organized approachExposure to developing utility-scale projects across the USWhat's on Offer

The Senior Development Manager (Solar, storage and wind) will be eligible for:

$200,000 - $240,000 base salaryAnnual bonus schemeUnlimited PTOComprehensive healthcare coverage401k planHybrid work schedule (2 days in San Diego)
