The Granite YMCA is seeking an experienced Food Service Manager to lead our CACFP and SFSP food programs. The Manager will manage the daily food service operations including meal prep, cooking and distribution, and the overall program administration and implementation.
Essential Functions
Establish and maintain systems and procedures for ordering, receiving, storing, preparing and serving of food and related productsPrepare meals for kids in our early learning center, after school and teen programsMenu planning and development including any events within the assigned locationImplement the USDA CACFP and SFSP At-risk After School snack, breakfast and dinner programs at the assigned locationsCACFP and SFSP menu planning, record keeping, purchase of food supplies and paper products, budget management, unit pricing, set-up and clean-upMaintain kitchen equipment; schedule repairs and additional maintenance as neededDevelop, implement and monitor food safety/allergy planResponsible for assisting with the development and monitoring of all department budgetsMaintain control of the kitchen to ensure that all tasks are carried out efficiently and effectivelyConduct daily inspections to ensure cleanliness of all items and food service facilitiesQualifications
ServeSafe certification requiredValid driver's license or ability to travel between assigned locationsStrong ability to understand and interpret federal regulations and implement requirements accordinglyStrong communication, organization and project management skillsStrong skills pertaining to computer and tablet functions, including Microsoft OfficeThis is a full-time, hourly position with an extensive benefit package that includes:
