The Division of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Virginia is seeking applications for an outstanding academic physician-scientist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to join our team. The successful candidate will provide excellent clinical care, advance research in women’s health, and mentor medical students, residents and fellows.
Our division is currently comprised of 6 physicians, 3 APPs, a pharmacist and 6 Clinical Research Coordinators. Division members provide the full breath of care in gynecologic oncology including inpatient and outpatient care, surgery, chemotherapy and subspecialty consultations. The Division of Gynecologic Oncology oversees the Fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology as well as actively participates in the Residency Program in OB/GYN.

The University of Virginia Cancer Center is an NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center that houses many of the clinical and research programs. The Cancer Center brings together more than 162 members from 25 departments to service its mission of “to reduce the burden of cancer for the patients of today, through skilled, integrated, and compassionate care and to eliminate the threat of cancer for the patients of tomorrow, through research and education in an environment that promotes diversity, equity and inclusion”.

The Medical Center is a 735-bed, level 1 trauma center that serves as the primary, specialty and sub-specialty hospital for central Virginia. Required Qualifications:
Education: MD or equivalent /- PhD by appointment start date
Licensure: Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology
Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion
Research experience at the junior level
Published research in clinical and/or translational science
Evidence of a national reputation through published research, committee work, organizational involvement, etc.
