As a member of the Harkey Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies, this position will coordinate the hallmark program of the Entrepreneurship Minor, the Summer Entrepreneurship Academy (SEA), as well as, the Entrepreneurship Living, Learning, Community (LLC). Additionally, this position will support the Assistant Director in managing operations of co-working space for undergraduate startups as well as manage student workers.Responsibilities

Manage the Summer Entrepreneurship Academy, encompassing marketing efforts targeting potential students, administration of application and admission procedures, tracking of admission statistics, organization and implementation of co-curricular engagements such as workshops, receptions, and guest speaker events, formulation of the summer curriculum and orientation agenda, facilitation of faculty recruitment and hiring, maintenance of the program's Canvas page with regular updates and announcements, provision of guidance to current and prospective students, coordination with University Extension for student registration and billing and overseeing institutional scholarship program as appropriate.Manage Startup City Limits, overseeing all aspects from initial planning through post-event evaluations. Key responsibilities include venue coordination, vendor and sponsor liaison, budget management, selection and coordination of food and beverage vendors, entertainment hiring, giveaway design and procurement, marketing material creation, online event page management, ensuring brand consistency across all elements, invitation distribution across various platforms, logistical coordination for student and alumni showcases, and appropriate curation of speakers, sessions, and topics to cater to students, alumni, and the Austin community.Manage the Entrepreneurship Living Learning Community (LLC). This encompasses managing the application process, surveying and monitoring enrolled students, recruitment and supervision of LLC mentors, organization and execution of monthly co-curricular engagements (such as workshops, receptions, and guest speaker events) in collaboration with campus partners, student organizations, and staff, formulation of schedules in collaboration with LLC resident advisors (RAs) for timely communication, advising current and prospective students interested in the Entrepreneurship Minor and SEA, as well as administration of the LLC budget and potential scholarship allocations.Provide advising and guidance to prospective students interested in Harkey Institute programs. Answer questions regarding minor requirements and application process; Hold regular office hours and appointments for prospective SEA students; Outreach to targeted populations, including presenting at information sessions, First-year Interest Group meetings, student organization meetings, and tabling events.Maintain an ongoing working knowledge of responsibilities associated with essential functions. Participate fully in support of other major Institute initiatives. Other duties as assigned. Select, train, and manage student workers to assist with programming, events, peer advising, and other front desk responsibilities.Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and five years of experience coordinating or administering a program;Demonstrated success in a customer service environment and the ability to communicate effective relationship management.Effective communication skills and ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team-oriented environmentPrevious success managing multiple projects, assessing work priorities, as well as regular ability in meeting deadlines.Demonstrated proficiency in organizing and recording data.Proficiency with software, especially MS Word, Excel, and Outlook and comfort learning new technologiesRelevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree with three year's relevant experiencePrior experience with event planning, student event coordination, organizing seminars, workshops, etc.Experience developing student engagement with academic and social activities.Experience with University of Texas policies, procedures, and administrative systems.Salary Range

$55,000 - $60,000 + depending on qualificationsWorking Conditions

Works in standard office conditions, in a shared office environment with repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.Some evening and weekend hours may be required during peak periods and special events.Applicants must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
