Utility Outage Planner / Sequencer
Location: Greensburg, Pennsylvania (travel to client site locations possible)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Utility Outage Planner / Sequencer
to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing outage sequence plans to ensure the safe and efficient execution of maintenance and construction activities within the power grid. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. For this role, the initial training / onboarding will be conducted at a client facility in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities:Develop comprehensive Outage Sequence Plans and documentation according to team standards.Coordinate with CAD Designers to create detailed outage sequence drawings.Collaborate with internal and external teams, including Engineering, ROW Solutions, Construction, Commissioning, Communications, and Outage Coordination, to ensure feasibility of the outage sequences.Attend and actively participate in walkdowns to:Confirm the validity of clearance points and practicality of proposed outage sequences.Assist the Project Development and Planning Manager (PDPM) with scope discussions.Develop specific checklists for each walkdown with input from the project team.Present outage requests to the Project Management Team, ensuring compliance with PJM outage submission requirements.Work directly with Transmission System Operators (TSO) and Regional Dispatch Operators (RDO) as applicable.Revise outage sequence documents to reflect changes in outage dates, clearance points, and project scope as requested by Project Managers.Remain involved through the end of construction to provide ongoing support and input on construction methods and alternative options.Drive the completion of deliverables to meet project schedules.Document all meetings and discussions related to project constructability.Build and maintain relationships with clients and key points of contact.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
5+ years of substation field experience, preferably in Transmission and Distribution (T&D) or Construction Design Build (CDB).High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Excellent communication skills and professional etiquette.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant tools is a plus.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.Commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations and standards.
