We are currently searching for a

Practice Assistant

for our

Philadelphia, PA

office to support attorneys in our Litigation section.

Our Firm is currently operating on a

hybrid work schedule . Employees work from the office three days per week and remotely from home for two.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Create, proofread and format correspondence, memoranda, agreements, transactional documents, and other legal forms under time sensitive deadlines.Create, proofread and format pleadings, discovery, and other litigation documents.Ability to file in federal and state courts and administrative agencies as needed per area of law.Run conflict checks, prepare engagement letters, and open new client and new client matters within our onboarding system.Maintain paper and electronic files through our document management system in connection with filing protocols and retention policies.Manage busy attorney schedules through Microsoft outlook calendaring and track/monitor deadlines.Coordinate travel arrangements through corporate travel companion, Navan.Prepare and submit expense reports.Assist with billing, attorneys' time and Proforma review through 3E.Work individually and in collaboration with other practice assistants in your support team to understand client concerns, ensure that clients are satisfied, and to build relationships of trust and reliability.Establish a good working relationship with Document Services, our shared services group, for overflow of larger legal document projects.Other duties as assigned.Required Education/Experience:

A minimum of five years of law firm experience in a Litigation group.High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred.Excellent written/verbal communication skills and the ability to professionally interact with professionals, clients and staff.Ability to problem-solve and anticipate issues/problems.Ability to organize and prioritize workload and to work in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and other computer and word processing systems.Must possess knowledge and understanding of litigation.Must possess knowledge of or experience with electronic court filing.Knowledge of practice-specific rules, laws, court forms and filing procedures, a plus.Prior use of a document management system (NetDocs) a plus.Ability to professionally interact with clients, staff, and other professionals.Proven work ethic.Ability to work overtime, as needed.Buchanan Ingersoll and Rooney offers outstanding benefits that include :
