GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
University Orthopedics is seeking a dynamic, motivated Physical Therapist to join our Physical Therapy staff. The Physical Therapist completes comprehensive examinations to determine body structure and function level impairments, activity limitation and participation restrictions. Establishes diagnosis, prognosis and develops an individualized plan of care. Implements treatment interventions and performs on-going evaluations through-out episode of care.
Essential Job Functions:Evaluate patients of various ages with musculoskeletal dysfunctionDesign and discuss appropriate treatment interventions based on findings in evaluationPerform necessary documentation to ensure compliance with federal and insurance regulationsManage patient progress through therapyProvide timely and appropriate billing information for services providedOther clinical duties as assigned by PT Department to meet patient needsAdditional duties as assigned by the Manager to meet department needsRequirements:
Graduate of an accredited physical therapy programLicensed or eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in the State of RIPrevious experience in outpatient orthopedics/musculoskeletal rehab preferredExcellent communication skillsAbility to maintain confidentialityAttention to detailTeam oriented professionalExcellent interpersonal and time management skillMust be able to travel to all sites if/when necessary.
