Position Summary:

The Human Resource (HR) Manager oversees all Human Resource (HR) activities for an assigned location(s) or functional area, i.e., implementing HR strategies, analyzing business information and leading HR and business initiatives, etc. This position engages in employee relations issues, partners with Talent Acquisition (TA) on staffing and selection, oversees community outreach, supports employee development activities, and manages programs, policies and procedures in support of the company's culture. The HR Manager anticipates business needs, thinks proactively and responds quickly, appropriately and professionally. This position serves as the Human Resources subject-matter expert for the assigned location (s) or functional area.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

Collaborate with local leadership on HR decisions and ensure the delivery of HR processes, procedures and policiesCollaborate cross-functionally with all HR functions i.e., Compensation, Compliance, Capabilities, Leaves, Legal, Talent Acquisition, HRIS, Benefits, etc., and Labor team as applicableEnsure assigned location(s) or functional area complies with all federal, state, and local laws governing employmentEvaluate current and potential HR issues or needs and deliver strategic responsesPartner with local business partners on development of workforce plans and/or staffing needs and supportPartner with the TA team on staffing strategies, staffing calls and hiring events if appropriateEngage in HR Workstream projectsCoordinate and engage in community outreach, employee engagement, etc.Mediate difficult employee relations issues and/or other interactions as a neutral partyBalance conflicting points of view, function effectively under pressure and demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindednessLead Talent Management, Employee/Leadership Development training, Succession Planning, etc. for assigned location(s) or functional areaManage the mid-year and annual Performance Evaluation and annual Compensation process for assigned location(s) or functional areaCommunicate benefit-related changes and assist employees with questions regarding benefitsManage Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) in collaboration with the Compliance and TA teams by conducting statistical analysis, documenting progress in the AAP, supporting recruiting efforts and providing data for OFCCP auditsMeasure HR performance using the HR Scorecard and share information with leadership for assigned location(s) or functional areas to celebrate wins and/or address concernsCollaborate cross-functionally with all HR functions i.e., Compensation, Compliance, Talent Acquisition, HRIS, Benefits, etc.Assist assigned location(s) or functional area leadership with budget support as neededMaintain positive employee relations in a union environment as appropriateManage an HR team member(s) as applicableOther projects or duties as assignedRequired Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field, 6 plus years of HR experience and 3 plus years of people leadership experience or HS Diploma/GED,9 plus years of HR experience and 4 plus years of people leadership experienceExperience in Employee Relations, Staffing, Talent Management, Change Management, Performance Management, Labor/Union Relations, EEO/AAP and Regulatory ComplianceStrong knowledge of local, state, and federal laws regarding employment and wage and hour requirementsExperience solving complex problems by leveraging business and HR knowledgeCustomer service mindsetStrong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of an organizationExcellent follow up and follow through skillsHigh sense of urgencyStrong organizational and multi-tasking skillsDetail oriented mindsetExperience working in fast-paced, business environmentPositive and professional mindsetAbility to demonstrate trust, confidentiality, and good judgmentResults oriented and continuous improvement mindsetStrong decision-making skillsProficient with HR Information Systems, Timekeeping Systems, Applicant Tracking Systems, i.e., UltiPro, iCIMS, Kronos, etc.Strong Microsoft Office skills i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.Travel up to 25%This position must pass a post-offer background and drug testPreferred Skills and Experience:

Master's degreePHR, SPHR and/or SHRM CertificationProject Management experienceExperience interpreting and presenting dataUnion experience including Collective Bargaining, etc.Experience working for a company with transportation i.e., DOT, JJ Keller, etc.Experience working for a food and/or beverage company
