Responsibilities: • Oversee paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff • Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies • Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings • Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions • Take responsibility for administrative staff relating to client invoicing/billing records, setting up meetings with clients and completing tasks • Draft correspondence and review demands • Negotiate • Manage administrative assistants in connection with keeping track of case progression • Perform legal research • Counsel clients • Identify conflicts and determine case strategies for successful resolution Qualifications: • Candidates must currently be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred • Work independently while handling a heavy caseload • Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required • Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must • Graduation from law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and experience in representing clients for at least 2 years • Prior experience working for a plaintiff personal injury law firm for a minimum of 2 years required • Prior experience negotiating personal injury claims required • Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must • Must be able to manage a high volume docket • Must be able to understand medical records and medical treatment Compensation: $110,000
