Departmental Overview

NRHS Imaging Services is a full-service Radiology department performing over 200,000 studies each year, including screening exams, diagnostic testing, and interventional procedures. We operate a brand new state of the art hospital-based location, 2 free-standing Emergency Departments/Outpatient Centers, and two additional outpatient specialty locations. We serve three Emergency Departments, a wide variety of Inpatient units, and hundreds of outpatients throughout each day. MRI Supervisor duties include, but are not limited to:Overseeing the activities of the MRI department, including supervision of all technologists and studentsCoaching, counseling, and evaluating staff membersMaintenance of work/call schedules and payroll recordsAttendance at Radiology leadership meetingsPerforming MRI exams in the inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settingFollowing MRI safety guidelines and direction from the MRSO to ensure safety for all patients, employees, and visitors in the MRI suite at all timesPerforming quality assurance tasks on equipment as neededProviding high-quality patient care with safety for both patients and healers in mindWorking with physicians and physician offices to ensure patients receive the best possible care for their treatment planQualifications

Education & CertificationCompletion of an accredited 2 or 4 year program in Radiologic Technology accredited by either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), or the Commission on Accreditation of the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).Registered Technologist in MR specialty with the ARRT or ARMRIT.Three years of experience as a registered MRI technologist. Leadership experience not required but considered.Ongoing Education RequirementsBasic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current BLS is required to be maintained through re-training for the duration of employment (provided by NRHS).Maintenance of Registered Technologist status throughout employment with CMEs as required by the accrediting body.IV certification required before or during new hire orientation.Schedule
